- [Instructor] When data changes inside an ITSM tool, the who, what, when of that change might be recorded in Audit tables, Transaction logs, History lists, Journal fields, Activity lists. The might covers differences between tools and the fact that tracking sometimes has to be configured and/or activated. We'll touch on these points as we review each of our six ITSM tools. In BMC, when a source record such as incident, problem, change, and the like is updated, a new audit record is written to the read only audit table in Helix ITSM. Auditing is initiated on a per table basis and enable check checkbox in the auditing section of the table definition form signifies if auditing is enforced but you could audit incidents and changes, but not problems.
