- [Instructor] One way to think of Microsoft Teams as the central hub for your team's work life. Teams includes the ability to communicate. It has chat. If it's tied to your phone system, it directly supports calling. Teams also is the central place that you'll be holding meetings. You can have scheduled meetings that's used to hold, for example, using Skype for Business, you can have ad hoc meetings. I need to talk with you right now, and you can create large live events, events with multiple presenters, and you can record all of these events in Teams. You can also customize Teams. You can extend Teams with other applications. So if your team needs more than a chat, and a calendar, and calls, and files, then it's easy enough to add a tab that includes Planner, Forms, Power BI, and all of these different applications that can be made available in Teams.
