Create a new content database

- [Narrator] Now, let's take a look at how to create a new content database. Here on the SharePoint server we're in our central administration. Under 'Application Management', you'll see there's an option for 'Manage Content Databases'. I'll click on that now. If we want to create a new one, there's a link up near the top here that says 'Add Content Database'. I'll click on that. The first thing you can see here is that it is using our web application of teams.landonhotel.local. For the database name and authentication, you'll see here that the database server is SPServer. Then, we have a database name. It automatically creates WSS_Content and then it puts this randomized set of numbers and letters behind it. I'm going to eliminate those and I'm going to go ahead and just type in 'Teams'. Let me scroll back over to the left so you can see the full name. It's WSS_Content_Teams.
