- [Instructor] One of the best things about using SharePoint for document and data storage is that SharePoint gives you the ability to create multiple views of your information. Now, views are a big topic, and although I'm going to demonstrate some of the functionality of views, I need to give you a disclaimer. There are a bunch of things that I am not going to bother with in this course. I'm much more interested in the why of creating views, although I'll show you some of the how also. If you need more training on the how, there are some very good courses like SharePoint Online Essentials. The beauty of views is that you can create views that show specific information that's tailored to the needs of distinct audience groups. Not only that, but you can stage those views in multiple places on your site and even grant access to them, based on your user's permission levels.
