- [Instructor] Nonfunctional requirements do not relate to SharePoint functions. Instead, they relate to the under-the-cover needs to fulfill the functional requirements of the plan. Nonfunctional requirements fall into categories like performance, privacy and security, scalability and availability, recoverability, and interoperability, and capacity. For performance, it is affected by the number of users, the number of concurrent users, peak performance, et cetera. This impacts the web front end servers and applications, particularly Search. We've seen this referred to before, but you can see where this actually comes into play once we have put together all the requirements of the business users. We know the number of users, how many of them are going to be working concurrently, and when are the peak times in which they're going to be working.
