Managing alerts

- [Instructor] In this lesson we're going to look at managing your alerts. Because as you can imagine, over time as your subscribe to many alerts and if you're a MOS 2007 site manager you may be subscribing to alerts for other people as well. You'll need to be able to go in and make changes to those alerts or even remove them for yourself and others as necessary. So here's how we manage alerts in SharePoint. Now I am a site manager, so I can manage actual alerts for other people as well as myself. I'm going to start with an actual alert for someone else. By going up to the Site Actions and then going down to Site Settings. From these pages I can go to User Alerts. And when I click on that link I'm going to have an opportunity here to select the user I want to update alerts for. So here you can see None is selected but if I click the drop down here is everybody who has an alert set up by me, and you can see I'm in there as well.
