- [Instructor] Hybrid search lets your users search for files and documents across both SharePoint Server and Office 365 at the same time. Now depending on how you set up your hybrid search, you could have it so that only your on-premises users are searching for content that's stored out in Office 365, you could reverse that and have it that only your online users are searching for content stored on your SharePoint Server, or you could have both groups searching for content stored in the other environment. Now there are two variants of hybrid search. The first is cloud hybrid search. With the cloud hybrid search solution for SharePoint, you index all of your crawled content, including on-premises content in your search index in Office 365.
