Register a domain with Office 365
- [Instructor] When configuring Office 365 for SharePoint Hybrid, there are a few basic integration steps that you have to go through first, between your Office 365 and SharePoint server. The first is to register a domain with Office 365. To do this here, we are looking at my Microsoft 365 admin center and in the left margin, what I want to look for, is I want to look for settings and you'll notice I don't have it here. So if you don't see it, then you click on show all. And now we have an option for settings. When you expand settings and you'll see there's an option for domains. So I'll click on that and you'll see that I have a domain registered, it's Landonhotel620.onmicrosoft.com. Now here's the thing, that's the domain that I was given when I registered Office 365, but in order to configure a hybrid environment with SharePoint server, you must register a public domain that you actually own.
