Share a file or folder
- [Instructor] Sometimes rather than sharing a site I want to share a specific document. And these two are not mutually exclusive. I might already have invited someone to a site but I share a document because when I share a document I can quickly and easily generate an email message that will allow me to draw this person's attention to the document that I want them to pay attention to. I go to the library where the document is and I can select it, choose Share from the menu here or click the More Actions and choose Share. Both of them are going to do exactly the same thing, open up a dialogue that allows me to send a link to this particular document. And I'll enter someone's name, or more than one someone's name. I can then add a message, please review this document, for example. I can click send. If I want to send this link as part of a larger email message that I'm creating I can copy a link if I wish and use that link. Remember that when I open this dialogue I have a choice to say…
