- Hi, and welcome to my Microsoft SharePoint 2007. I'm David Rivers. You know, SharePoint is by no means considered new technology although it has recently experienced some renewed excitement thanks to this latest release. And SharePoint is not a single application like the name may imply, but rather a group of products and technologies that can help in the areas of online collaboration, document storage and workflow, auditing, organizing, retaining and protecting information within the company. In this title, we'll be exploring such topics as planning your SharePoint deployment. That's very important. We'll be working with sites. We'll look at SharePoint security. We'll also be working with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server, also known as MOS. We'll be looking at reporting and auditing tools in SharePoint. We'll also examine and work with lists and libraries. We'll get into workflow scenarios, and we'll work with webpages and web parts. And then finally we'll dive into document…
