Male 1: You've heard Amy and I use the phrase talking points several times so far. And this is because it's a very common thing that people will ask for. Now if you're a journalist, you've probably never given people talking points. But if you're doing work in corporate or other styles of video or audio production. Many people will want talking points or they may even provide them to you. If a client gives me talking points, I look them over to become familiar with what the client is hoping to accomplish, but I usually respectfully use them, but don't overly rely on them. See, one of the things you have to think about are the overall goals of the project and if there's anything else that needs to be worked in. I'll often look at publications or other projects the clients put out to see if there's any common themes that emerge in other videos. And this will help shape the talking points.
