Telephoto lenses

Now one of the more beautiful lenses that you can shoot with is a telephoto lens like this 105 millimeter lens like I have right here. But any lens that's greater than 70 millimeter is considered a telephoto lens. So the longer it is, the more telephoto it is, and the closer you can get in to subjects. Now, these are characterized by having a very narrow field of view. So, wide angle lens like this, telephoto lens we're only seeing this much right here. As far as the physical qualities of telephoto lenses, these tend to be bigger and heavier than their counterparts in the prime world. So even though this lens might look about the same size as some of the other lenses I was holding, it's actually much heavier. Now the main optical qualities of a telephoto lens, two things that it does really well. It makes distant subjects appear to be much closer.
