So we talked about wide lenses, now I want to talk about ultra-wide lenses and fish eye lenses. Now any lens that's less than 24 millimeters is going to be considered an ultra-wide lens. It's not a term used very often, but that is what it is officially. Now there are 2 flavors of ultra-wide primes and one of them is fish eye. So fish eye lenses distort things and wrap it around. It's a lens that Busta Rhymes made very famous I think he had it in his contract that he could only be shot with that lens for a number of years. So fish eye gives you that warped effect when people are close to the lens. It's cool, you'll see it in a lot of action sports. But the other type of ultra-wide prime is a rectilinear lens. Now the rectilinear ultra-wide prime is similar except that it doesn't distort. So you have a very wide image, but you have much less distortion than you would have with a fish eye lens.
