Challenge 1: Creating a lead sheet
(upbeat music) - [Narrator] Challenge number one is a copying exercise designed to give you experience creating a professional lead sheet using many of the features we've discussed up until this point in our training. Your challenge is to recreate the provided piece of music in Sibelius. If you have our exercise files, you'll start by opening the provided template. If not, you can create the score from scratch. After that, you'll need to reference the PDF file of the completed score, and copy everything that you see into your Sibelius file, aiming for a result that looks as close to the completed example as possible. You'll be challenged with rhythm/noteheads, repeat bar lines, chord symbols, notes, two lines of lyrics, a key change, a first and second ending, and a repeat text DC at the end.
