Changing the harmonic rhythm

- [Instructor] Another great way to use chords to establish a section change is to change the harmonic rhythm of your progression. There are countless amazing songs written around a quarter loop. Listen to Bob Dylan's All Along the Watchtower, Cold Play's Clocks and Ben E. King's Stand by Me, all of them establish a chord progression and then repeat it for the entire song. While writing around a quarter loop is perfectly fine, it can be tricky to keep it interesting for the length of a song. One cool way to shake things up with songs written around a single chord progression, or any song for that matter, is by playing with the harmonic rhythm of the progression.
