Creating and editing chord symbols

You will likely need to input chord symbols into a score at some point, so this lesson will provide you with foundational knowledge about the chord symbols engine in Sibelius, along with some very simple and basic steps for inputting chord symbols into your score. Before inputting chord symbols, it's a good idea to look at Sibelius' chord symbol engine, which is located in engraving rules. Go to the appearance tab on the far left, click on that big engraving rules button. You can also access engraving rules by using the shortcut command shift e on Mac or control shift e on Windows. When the engraving rules window is open, click on the chord symbols page over on the left. The chord symbols page of engraving rules is where you set up the default formatting for all of your score's chord symbols.
