Editing lyric mistakes
- [Instructor] Once you have lyrics in your Sibelius file, you may need to do some lyric editing. There are many reasons and many ways to edit lyrics, so here are a few examples for you. First, you may have misspelled a word. In Bar Two, the word beach in Lyrics Line One should actually be the word bench. To correct a misspelled word, double click on the lyric, then use the Delete or Backspace key to maneuver back through the mistake. Then retype the lyric properly and when you're done use the Spacebar or Hyphen, whichever is appropriate, to follow through with the edit for proper spacing and then press Escape. There's another error in Bar Seven, Lyrics Line Two. The word goes is misspelled. Another way to edit a lyric is to select it and then so that you can delete and then retype the word and again press Spacebar to follow through with the word and then Escape.
