Exploring the Lines gallery
- [Instructor] Slurs and hairpins are grouped into a category in Sibelius that we call lines. You can see an entire gallery of lines by pressing the letter l on your QWERTY keyboard or by visiting the notations tab, the lines group, and pressing the More button, which looks a lot like an Eject button. You're encouraged to browse through the lines gallery to learn what lines are available to you. It's here where you'll find lines such as glissandi, octave lines, pedal lines, first and second ending lines, and more. Besides slurs and hairpins, you can load a line in your mouse by clicking on it to select it from the gallery, and then clicking it into the score. I'll click that trill in right there. Or probably a better method for most lines is if you have something already selected in your score. So I'm going to escape and let's select this note up here (note plays) then press l for lines, and I'll select that trill…
