- [Instructor] Earlier in this chapter, you were introduced briefly to the Hide feature when we hid a few dynamic markings in a multi-voiced passage, so that we didn't have to see them all, but we could still hear them. You can hide virtually any object in Sibelius. And to be able to hide and show objects is an important skill as it allows you to create unconventional notations, and exceptional playbacks. As you know, hidden objects including notes and voices do playback, but they do not have to print. So your score can look correct, and sound great at the same time. Take a look at this example file. This is actually a pretty old file of mine, that I created using an older version of Sibelius. And part of the reason I still use it today, to show the capabilities of Hide and Show, is because many years ago we actually had to use Hide and Show a bit more than we need to today to accomplish tasks that the program was…
