Inputting lines during note input
- [Instructor] Before we begin adding lines like slurs and hairpins during note input, let's quickly review the best ways to add them while in edit mode. Remember that to add a slur, you can select a note where you'd like the slur to begin, I'm going to make my way down here to bar 19 and zoom in. Select a note, and then you can press s to input the slur. Then you can use spacebar to extend the slur, and shift-spacebar to retract it. And escape when you're done. You can also make a range selection of notes. Click and shift the click, and press s to add the slur to the selected notes. These methods of inputting a slur work great as long as you already have notes inputted on the score page. But there's a way to input slurs during note input mode so that you don't have to go back later to edit them in, so let's give this a try. First we're going to input the note where we want the slur to begin, so I'm going to escape…
