- [Instructor] Using keypad layout number three, you can select any note in Sibelius and add a tremolo or roll symbol to its stem. These symbols work for adding tremolos to pitched notes as well as for rolling unpitched percussion instruments. I'm going to go ahead and input a snare drum, so i for instruments. Make your way here to the Percussion and Drums group and choose Snare Drum and add that to your score. Go ahead and click OK. I'm also going to make my way to the end of my piece here where I have a four-four meter and some extra bars so you can set that up if you don't have that as well. And I'm going to input some notes both in my piano staff and a pitch staff as well as in this single line snare staff. So I'm going to go back to layout number one and put in a few note values, some larger note values like half notes. (soft piano music) And a whole note.
