Setting and adjusting beaming

- [Instructor] Keypad layout number three, called beams and tremolos, contains options for making local changes to the beaming of notes, and for adding tremolos, buzz rolls, and feathered beams. In this video, we'll take a look at the beaming options. Tremolos and rolls will be covered in our next video in this chapter. So you can change the appearance of beams, the horizontal lines connecting notes of smaller durations, by selecting a note head and the score, and then choosing a beam direction button in keypad layout number three. What you see in the picture in the keypad in relation to the note head and its stem is exactly what you'll get when it comes to the selected note in the score. So in this example, I have a note head stem down, beam to the left, and that's because I chose the picture note head stem, beam to the left.
