- As you can see, I've spent a lot of time with this piece of music. The obvious changes are articulations, slurs, and dynamic markings, but I also did a bit of creative recomposing. I went with a few musical gestures that seemed to be prominent and utilized them a bit more throughout the tune. Like this E-flat to F down to F little motive. So obviously, there isn't much harmony here, we've basically got two independent lines of music. Short of creating our own harmonies, which we're absolutely welcome to do, I wanted to show you some of Sibelius' composing tools plug-ins, and in particular, the Add Simple Harmony plug-in. With this plug-in, Sibelius will analyze a musical selection and, based on parameters that you set, it will provide you with a chord progression and a accompaniment pattern, which it adds into a new staff in your score.
