Unpitched percussion and drum mapping

All right, Sibelians. Now that you have knowledge of multiple voices, intervals, staff types and note heads, you're ready to begin notating un-pitched percussion and drum set parts. To understand how un-pitched percussion instruments are notated and mapped for playback in Sibelius, it's best to begin by looking at an existing drum set staff, so my example file contains a sample of a drum set part. To see the properties of the drum set staff in the example file, go ahead and select any bar in the drum set staff, go to the Home tab, the Instruments group, and click on the dialogue launcher button for Edit Instruments, you've been here before hopefully, and when the Edit Instruments dialogue opens, the Drum Set (Rock) instrument should be selected here.
