The post chorus

- [Instructor] The melody of a song is a powerful tool for creating momentum and energy as it is arguably our main point of interaction with the listener. A great example of this is the concept of a post-chorus, which is often called the post. Earlier in the course we defined a pre-chorus as the section of a song that propels us into the chorus. The post-chorus is a secondary hook that comes after the chorus and builds on the drama of the song. You can hear some great examples of post-choruses in Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop The Feeling", Katy Perry's "Roar, and Rihanna's "Umbrella". Let me show you how a post-chorus works. Here is a new song example called "Never Get Over You".
