Common graph types

- [Instructor] When designing data visualization, our goal is to design for meaning. After talking with our users to understand their goals and needs from the data, we'll need to decide on the types of graphs that will best serve the purpose of providing meaning to our user. Visualizations aren't just standalone charts, although they can be, but they can also work in concert to form a dashboard. Here's a couple of examples from Google Analytics and Salesforce that are made up of various charts to create a dashboard. We need to use the right visual element to tell the most impactful story. Let's go over some of the most common visual representations of data. The first is tables.
