Constructing the flow

- A flow diagram describes a sequence of events or processes that the user will encounter as their experience. When constructing a flow diagram at the lower level, we want to make sure we're mapping it to screens. In our prior example, the student experience of enrolling for college, let's focus on the student's flow of getting accepted and what comes next. We'll start this end-to-end flow from the school homepage where the student will apply. The next step is to fill out a three-page application in which the student has to provide their information and add their personal essay. The application should have the ability to be saved for later and to move back any number of steps, so we want to include this in the flow. Once the student has been accepted into the school, the first activity is to send transcripts and set up tuition payment.
