- [Instructor] Dashboards can be static, in that they're reporting out information with minimal or no interactive states. Interactive dashboards offer more functionality for users to view their data in slightly different ways. We discussed in a previous video some common interactions in dashboards, but we can recap here. Filters and tooltips or common interactions that help users gain a better understanding of their data. Filters allow users to remove items from view, to focus on the items they want to see. The mechanisms to filter can be using a dropdown in which you can select items you'd prefer to see or not see. You can see this in this example from LinkedIn, where you can filter out by a few different options like job function, location, seniority and a few others.
