- [Instructor] Let's take a look at how we might approach designing for an ecommerce experience. I'm defining ecommerce as the buying and selling of goods on websites, but also through other platforms. Let's break this project down into discrete elements. I'm going to use an outline that includes the description of the project, the user archetypes, context of use, common tasks and elements we'll need to consider. So let's say we want to design an ecommerce experience for selling consumer goods. In this case, we do have some different user archetypes. The first is someone interested in saving money on their purchases, and knows what she wants to buy. The second is someone who wants to purchase quality home goods, and will shop around to find the best quality product at a good price.
