Designing for intermediate and experts

- [Instructor] Since most users won't stay beginners for long, and most users won't become experts, you'll mostly be designing for intermediate users. Intermediate users need access to tools and key elements to complete their tasks. This group of users has graduated from the beginner and they're more confident moving around the interface and looking for what they need. This group doesn't need anymore onboarding or guidance unless you're introducing a new feature. They also have established the tools they need and they'll be requiring those tools to be easily accessible. Intermediate users just need to be supported in their learning and exploration of the interface. Now expert users are well-versed in the system they are using and typically their goal is to increase productivity. One of the keys to designing for expert users are to make sure that through your research in archetype understanding, you know what they want and how it differs.
