- [Instructor] The user-centered design process applies to every type of design problem. When we distinguish between platforms, it's because the goals and needs of users are different and design patterns and interactions might differ between platforms. For this video, I'm scoping software and web applications for the enterprise user. Designing for how people work offers interesting challenges that affect how we design the interface and how we design with the user's workflow in mind. Common challenges when designing software and web applications for enterprise users is keeping those workflows flexible. Enterprise users have a workflow which includes a series of different tools that they use with each tool having slightly different information that they need. When designing for workflow, we have to be very careful to not create a single path of how to do something. For example, UX designers have different workflows. Some sketch their design, photograph it, and import it into Photoshop…
