Flow and process diagrams
- UX projects differ in scope and complexity. And the diagram you use will depend on the project and what you want to communicate. Diagrams that highlight how users sequentially move through the product experience can be at a higher level to show an overview, or at a lower level with more details. The diagrams we use often have terminology that is used interchangeably. For projects that have a longer journey or have a lot of steps, flow maps are useful to tell the story of the user from a high level. Flow maps are particularly helpful when there are a lot of different systems to interact with. These maps condense details, and are less strict in terms of the information shown.
