- [Instructor] So far, we've discussed tables, bar graphs, and line graphs as common options to represent data. Let's now take a look at other types of graphs. Scatter plots, sparklines, and heat maps are also commonly used graphs. Scatter plots highlight correlational data and relationships between items. Scatter plots reveal the relationship between variables through the general shape of the graph. Positive relationships can be seen by the slope of the line and provides information. Adding a line makes it clearer that the data is showing a trend. Scatter plots are best for showing correlated data and comparing two different variables.
