Use icons

- Icons help communicate information visually. They're used in lists and actions, and to support content scannability. In web and software experiences, icons are often found in toolbars or navigation. When used in a list, icons help differentiate the item while scanning. In this example from Bing, icons serve the purpose of supporting the text. At a glance, it's much easier to differentiate each list item. Sephora is another example of using iconography and color to differentiate between different product categories. Icons are especially helpful when space is limited. They're also very useful in breaking up content to highlight a difference between sections in a content-heavy page. In this example, the icons in each section support the content subheading to draw your eye to it. Good iconography should convey meaning at a glance, otherwise it can add confusion to an experience.
