Visual design considerations

- [Instructor] Let's take a look at the dashboard I created and some visual design decisions. I derived the colors for the dashboard from the Rue Academy logo, which is a college our user works at. Let's take a closer look at the color palette. I opted for using five colors in total, an accent color and two main colors for use in the graphs. I also used two different colors to differentiate between graph tiles and the data in the graph itself. I chose these colors because they're from the brand palette but also because the color palette is accessible for users with common colorblindness issues. You can see how the palette still conveys important meaning when viewed through the lens of deuteranopia. After selecting the color palette, I selected a type that would work well for dashboards.
