- [Instructor] Given that pretty much everything in the world around us has at least some level of reflectivity attached to its surface properties, it seems pretty likely that when needing to create realistic-looking materials for a scene that we will spend at least some time working inside the reflection controls of our material. In this exercise then, we're going to take a look at adding some reflectivity to the basic diffuser color on the material that were created in the previous exercise and then also look at how we can go about reducing the resulting glossiness or shininess of that material so as to create a more believable-looking surface. Adding basic reflectivity to the material is actually a very straightforward process in that all we need do is alter the grayscale value of the reflection color swatch that we see in the reflection rollout, which in essence is our reflection strength control.
