Adjust texture to avoid repetition
- Chapter 9-03, Adjusting texture to avoid repetition. Now, we're going to be applying the same texture to these planks, but we're going to position the texture within the face of the component to make it look different than the one next to it. It's very important that we try to replicate reality wherever possible and however hard we try we'd never be able to cut the same looking piece of plank and use it over and over and over again. We can match certain things but in this case, we want this to look slightly different. A bit of variation that will then add to the overall effect. Especially when you're going to render these things out and try to make them as realistic as possible. So, we can only use the dark timber plank or light timber plank, it's entirely up to you. I'm going to use the dark one. And if I just sort of zoom in and apply to this then we get this sort of repetition here. And we even find that some of these are…
