- As we take a look at the render that we have created in after effect now, we may be concerned about the fact that our highlights are massively blown out as compared to what we were getting using a color mapping Burn value of 0.2 in V-Ray, and also the lack of strong contact shadows because we turn the ambient occlusion option off in V-Rays GI controls. before trying to add anything extra to our image then let's quickly make use of the tools to hand to rectify those particular problems starting first of all, with our blown out highlights. Now there are actually a few approaches that we could take in a compositing package in order to solve this particular problem. But perhaps the easiest is to go straight for the source and figure out which of our render elements are contributing mostly to the problem, which after going through them, we would probably decide is the specular channel.
