Assigning materials

- [Instructor] In this video, we're going to assign materials to the objects in the kitchen. To begin this process, click the paint bucket tool or press the letter B. This opens the color pickers. Choose SketchUp's native color picker, which is identified with this brick. Also, make sure Colors in Model is selected from this drop down list. In Windows, Colors in Model is simply called In Model. The colors up here came in by default. This is the sketch that started off our project. The materials after that were added by the appliances that we inserted. Let's design our own material. In Windows, click the Create Material button on the right side of the Materials panel. Right click in this blank area and choose New Texture. Go to the Chapter Three folder and select the Cherry jpeg. Accept the default size and click Okay. Then click on Material and then click on the kitchen island and click on each bank of cabinets to assign this material to them. Also zoom in here and click on each one…
