Choose a template
- [Instructor] Upon starting SketchUp for the first time, the program will allow you to choose a default template. The template you choose depends on your purposes for using SketchUp, and this templates' going to affect your background color, edge styles, type of measurement system, such as meters of inches, and in some cases, your camera location. You can explore these templates by clicking on more templates here. To choose a default template, you can click on the heart, underneath the thumbnail. Now, each time you open a new file, this template will be activated. If you had previously chosen a different template, you can always go to help drop down menu, welcome to SketchUp, and it will bring you right back to this window. For now, we're going to use the simple template in inches. To open a new file, I can click on the thumbnail here.
