Circle and Ellipse tools
- [Instructor] To create a circle, choose the circle icon from the toolbar above, or the keyboard shortcut, letter C. Now that I've activated the circle tool, you can see in the measurements box down below that it's showing a number of 24. And that's because there are actually no round edges in SketchUp, only straight edges. So this circle is about to have 24 straight edges. You have control over this, but for the moment, let's just leave it at 24. Click and release to choose a starting point, and click and release to choose the radius. Now, let's create a circle that looks a little bit more smooth. 'Cause if we take a little bit of a closer look at this one, we can see that it looks a little bit jagged. So over here, I'm going to create one more circle. Click and release to choose a starting point, and then the ending point, and now we can type the number of edges that we would like.
