Colored and frosted glass
- Having seen how we can use the generic material to create a basic glass shader. What we want to do in this exercise is take a look at how we could also add a bit of extra complexity now and create both colored and frosted variants of the glass, as well. What we don't need to do of course is reinvent the proverbial wheel by creating a new glass material from scratch, and so lets right click on the basic glass entry, and use the duplicate command to create a copy of it. Let's straight away rename that by double clicking on it, and then calling it colored glass. After which we can apply the material to the jug geometry. Of course if we took a render at this point we would simply reproduce the image that we created at the end of the previous exercise. Which is not what we're after here, and so let's also come to the refraction controls of the new material, and make use of the somewhat misleadingly named fog options. So fog…
