- [Instructor] Another thing to consider when conceptualizing your building is the roof of the building. Now this can have a big impact on the design and style of the structure. Now I have settled in on kind of an H shape footprint for this building so we're going to have two wings. We have on this side, we have kind of the living area, in the middle we have the office, and on the end we have a bedroom wing. Now one of the reasons we chose this is because we have a lot of wall space with which we can put windows and exits to the outside, now remember one of the design requirements was indoor outdoor living and this opens the building up to the environment as well as gives privacy to the bedrooms. But let's go ahead and start playing with different types of roofs for this building to kind of get a sense for what works and what doesn't.
