- [Instructor] Another way to affect your concept drawing is to add a depth effect. Now, this will change the effect based upon how far away it is from the camera. You can use this for things such as focus or depth of field effects as well as fog and distance cue effects. Now, we can do this by using fog within SketchUp to create a black and white map that we can then use in Photoshop to matte out all the things that are close and far away. So, the first thing I want to do is get this image into a black and white state, and then we'll go ahead and add fog to get what we want, and then we'll export into Photoshop. So, the first thing I'm going to do is go into view, face style, monochrome, and that sets it to black and white. But it's not really what we want. For this particular effect, I want the foreground to be black, and the background to be white. And I want it to fade between those. So, I'm going to go into my styles menu.
