- [Instructor] I'd like to give this living room a few windows over here on the left hand side. To do that, we're going to use an extension. But first I'd like to cut a rough opening in the wall to place the windows. So I need to go ahead and double click into this wall group with my select tool so that I can alter this wall right here. I'm going to measure out my rough opening using my tape measure tool, so I'll hit the T for tape. And I'd like it to be centered on this wall, so I need to find the mid point of the wall using a guideline. I'll start over here on the left hand side from an edge, getting a red square, clicking and releasing, and moving up over here to find that blue dot that indicates the mid point of this edge, which is also the mid point of this wall. So I've got my center point. I'd like the window to be six feet wide, so I need to measure out three feet from the center. So to the right three feet…
