Create a section cut
- [Instructor] A section cut can help us peer inside the model without changing any geometry. It's like taking a slice right out of the model. And to do this will need our section plane tool that's found under tools, section plane. Now if you're using version 2018 or newer, you have the option to name your section plane. We've got a default name here, but I'm just going to go ahead and type TopView because I'm going to take a slice right out of the top, and for the symbol, I'm going to call it TV. Then I'll click place and again, if you have 2017 or older you won't have this option but you can join us right here. So now as I move my cursor throughout my model, I can see that this plane is aligning with the faces that I'm hovering over. And I want to take a view from the top down. So I actually wanted to align with my floor plane here. So I can click on geometry here or even over here. I'll just go ahead and click on the grass, click and release.
