Creating the Revit toposurface
- [Instructor] So it's now time to create the toposurface. So chapter 7-04 if you have access to the 2017 version of Revit this is what I'm using. It's a metric template. Feel free to use your own. So we need to insert now the AutoCAD file that we created. So insert and import CAD. And in the Chapter 7 folder this is one that I've got. That's the one we saved but I've created another version of it as well, creating the Revit toposurface. Origin to origin, and untick correct lines that are slightly off axis. We can preserve everything else and then we say open. This is just going to bring in that surface, and we can just about see the sort of bend in the river. And the next thing is to go to massing and site, and click on toposurface. And then create from import, and select import instance. So we just click on this. So we've got these layers. We'll say okay to both of them. And this is our toposurface. So it's given us a little warning about the boundary. It just kind of gives us a…
