Creating glass
- [Narrator] Given that refractive materials, such as glass and water, are likely to figure in one form or another in many of the projects that we undertake as a render artist it seems a good idea to next take a look at how we might go about creating one of those, from scratch. In this instance, a basic or generic, glass shader that we can then use as a standing point for, either more specialized glass types, or even for refractive liquids, such as water. In the materials tab, in the asset editor then. Let's create a new generic material, that we then want to right click on, and rename "basic glass." Now although we could add coloration to glass in the generic material using the defuse controls, glass is in reality a material type that doesn't have a surface color property associated with it.
