Design an island at an angle

- [Instructor] Let's turn our attention to designing a kitchen island. I'd like the kitchen island to appear in this area at a 45 degree angle with respect to the walls and the base cabinets here. It will be in the same orientation as this surface here of this upper cabinet. The reason for this is I want the new kitchen island to equally address the dining and living spaces. And it can do that by being rotated like that. To begin this process, let's draw a line from the corner of the pantry wall on the bottom and move the cursor over in the red direction and type 30 enter. Move the cursor again and type 33 enter. So now we have two line segments that are joined together at their endpoints here. Select the segment here on the right, press q for rotate and click the origin point right there on the endpoint of the line. Then click the opposite endpoint to start rotating, move the cursor over until the angle reads 45 degrees and then click to finish the rotate command. Press the space bar…
