Duplicating materials
- [Instructor] In chapter 5-04 we're going to be duplicating the material assets for the blue panel, and we'll be creating a white panel, a black panel and a red panel, and we'll be applying these to the appropriate surfaces. Now the process of duplicating a material inside of Revit is quite easy, but there are a few things that you need to be aware of and that's all to do with the assets. So either open up chapter 5-04 if you have access to this file or carry on from where you left off. We'll be picking up the materials again on the manage tab. And coming into our material browser, and we've got our desk panel blue. So the first thing we're going to do is right click on this and duplicate the material. So now we've got desk panel blue and desk panel blue, one in brackets. So on this one, this is going to be our red panel, so under identity, I'll just change it to desk panel red.
